Harry Sheezel has been confirmed to miss North Melbourne’s final round encounter with Sydney due to a fractured cheekbone.
North Melbourne head of performance Kevin White said: “Harry copped a head knock late in the second quarter which caused significant swelling of his eye.
“Follow up scans revealed a fractured cheekbone which Harry will have surgery on early next week, once the swelling subsides.”
Jason Horne-Francis has been ruled out of Port Adelaide’s Round 24 clash with Essendon due to a broken toe.
Port said: “Horne-Francis sustained a broken toe during the game against Melbourne. The midfielder won’t require surgery but will be unavailable for the final game of the season.”
The Power listed Zak Butters as a test to return from a syndesmosis injury.
Gold Coast has confirmed Christian Petracca will miss their Round 24 clash with St Kilda with a foot injury.
Fremantle has listed Murphy Reid as a test to return from a groin issue this weekend.
Freo Director of Performance Adam Beard said: “We got Murph into a couple of drills, so he’s doing well. We are just see how he pulls up later in the week and he’ll be a test to play too.”
Essendon has confirmed Sam Durham will miss their final round clash with Port Adelaide.
The Dons update said: “The midfielder missed last week due to general soreness and will not be ready in time for Sunday’s clash with Port Adelaide.”
Essendon also confirmed Zach Merrett would be available after an eye concern. The Dons said: “Merrett copped a heavy knock to his eye on the weekend but played out the game and will be available to face the Power.”
Wayne Milera is a test to return from a hamstring injury for Adelaide’s final round clash with GWS Giants.
Adelaide General Manager High Performance Ian McKeown said: “Junior is raring to go after spending the past three weeks on the sidelines.
“He was an outside chance last week to face Fremantle, but given the trip to Perth, we made the call to give him an extra week and ensure his fitness, particularly with finals on the horizon. Like always, he’s still got to get through training and will be listed as a test.”
Bulldogs backman Bailey Dale is a test to return this round from a shoulder injury.
Hugh McCluggage (calf) has been ruled out of Brisbane’s Round 24 game, with the club instead focusing on getting him fully fit for their first final.
Jeremy Cameron (AC joint) is listed as a test for Geelong’s final round clash with Richmond. James Worpel (hamstring) will miss 2-4 weeks.
Sydney’s James Rowbottom is a test to return from a hand fracture while Justin McInerney has experienced a fresh hamstring strain and will miss 2-3 weeks.
