Brisbane Lions coach Chris Fagan admits veteran Dayne Zorko may need to be rested following a hamstring injury scare.
Zorko struggled for impact and only played 68% time on ground in Saturday night’s win over West Coast.
The veteran has endured injury troubles this season, only returning in Round 18 and restricting him to 9 games for the season.
“He got a little bit spooked by his hamstring early in the game and just got some sort of awareness there and wasn’t quite sure,” Fagan told reporters.
“In the end, we bought him off the ground late just to protect him a little bit. I don’t expect there to be any damage, but of course he’s getting a little bit older now, so he just wanted to play it carefully.
“That’s the way I’m reading it. If there is an injury there, it’ll probably be a one-week injury. So we’ll wait and see what happens next week.
“We might give him a rest. We’ll just see how he is.”
