St Kilda coach Ross Lyon says defender Jack Sinclair will undergo scans on a calf injury sustained in Sunday’s loss to the Western Bulldogs.
Sinclair was one of three Saints set for scans after picking up issues out of the game, along with rucks Rowan Marshall and Tom De Koning.
Sinclair limped out of the game favouring his left leg in the first quarter.
Lyon said: “Lower leg. I know there’s speculation about an Achilles. I’m not in a position to comment any further, except to say they think it’s more calf.”
On Marshall and De Koning’s issue, Lyon elaborated further with hope they’d both be available following their bye.
“Rowan should be fine and TDK is precaution,” he said.
“Really simply, three players will go for a scan. Rowan precautionary scan, TDK precautionary, like in the rib area.
“But clearly you’re making sure there’s no punctured lungs and all of that, he’s pretty tough and hopefully with the bye he’s able to get back.”
St Kilda face Essendon in Round 17 at Marvel Stadium on Sunday 5 July following their bye.
