Geelong coach Chris Scott has offered an update on Tom Stewart’s status after missing a second game due to concussion protocols.
The Cats coach refused to elaborate deeply on Stewart’s concussion status but clarified there was nothing “negative” about how he’s tracking.
Geelong has the bye next round anyway, but Stewart should be available following that.
Scott said: “The concussion window is a bit of a furphy. There’s a guideline there. We just take the approach we don’t want to get involved at all.
“It was clear to us Tuesday afternoon he wasn’t playing, we just moved on.
‘What I am happy to say is there hasn’t been anything negative. They (medical staff) just said ‘no, he’s not going to be available’ and we moved on.”
