Geelong coach Chris Scott has moved to reassure there are no injury concerns for gun onballer Bailey Smith despite reports this week of a shoulder issue.
Nine News Melbourne reported Smith couldn’t complete a light training session earlier in the week and would be monitored closely through the week.
But Scott downplayed any concerns during his weekly press conference, with Smith later named in the 23 to play Sydney on Saturday.
“No, no, no,” Scott replied when asked if there were any concerns for Smith’s shoulder.
“None at all.
“He did say he was trying to reprise Chris Judd’s double taping over the last couple of weeks. I suspect it’s a look thing.
“His shoulders are fine.”
