Collingwood are fearing the worst for emerging ruckman Oscar Steene who went down with a knee injury in Friday’s narrow loss to Sydney.
Steene was helped off in the third quarter and didn’t return, with Pies coach Craig McRae indicating they’re fearing it’s an ACL injury.
“Yeah, it’s not looking good, unfortunately,” McRae told reporters.
“The early diagnosis is a full reconstruction, but we’ll have to get scans to confirm all that.
“It’s sad to see, especially given what he was capable of against Brodie Grundy, who is clearly one of the better ruckmen in the competition.”
Steene has played 8 games this year after debuting in Round 3 alongside Darcy Cameron, who missed Friday’s game.
