North Melbourne rookie Tom Blamires has been confirmed as a late inclusion for the Kangaroos against Geelong on Saturday.
George Wardlaw has been withdrawn due to illness, with Roos coach Alastair Clarkson calling that a “sniffle” after he missed training late in the week.
North’s update said: “Wardlaw (illness) has been replaced by Tom Blamires for tomorrow’s game against Geelong at GMHBA Stadium.”
Richmond revealed the injury for Sam Lalor which has seen him ruled out of Saturday’s game against West Coast.
The Tigers said: “Richmond can confirm Sam Lalor suffered a partial Achilles injury at training today. Lalor will be assessed over the coming days to determine a return to play timeline.”
In further Tigers injury news, it’s been confirmed by the Club that Josh Gibcus’ season is over with a sprained ACL.
Carlton coach Michael Voss has confirmed Marc Pittonet will return from injury and play alongside Liam Reidy.
Voss said: “He’s passed, he fully trained yesterday. He’s looking forward to the contest, he’s obviously familiar with who he’s playing against.”
On Reidy, Voss said: “Liam coming in last week was important, he had a good game against two quality ruckmen, especially Luke Jackson. He had his hands full, but he acquitted himself well and gets another opportunity.”
Collingwood coach Craig McRae offered an update on Darcy Cameron’s injury from Thursday night. He said: “I think Darcy has an ankle. We’re not sure, we’ll get a scan tomorrow. We’ll work through what that looks like.”
