St Kilda coach Ross Lyon says Tom De Koning is in “severe doubt” for next Sunday’s clash with West Coast after copping a knock to his hip in Saturday night’s one-point loss to Adelaide.
De Koning laboured through the game after being crunched in a ruck contest in the second term.
The Saints ruck hobbled off in the second and went off again in the final term for treatment, allowing more time in the middle for Rowan Marshall.
St Kilda next face West Coast on Sunday in Round 7, with Lyon revealing TDK is in doubt.
Lyon said: “Yeah he might be in doubt. I would say he’s probably in severe doubt.”
De Koning ended up with 58 per cent time on ground, with Marshall having 15 CBAs to TDK’s 16.
Marshall finished with 25 disposals, 5 marks and 22 hit-outs, scoring 104/117 (AF/SC), compared to TDK’s 37/38 (AF/SC).
Lyon added: “TDK got a big knock. He struggled but we saw the best of Ro which was exciting for us.”
