Marcus Bontempelli will be tested later this week to confirm his availability for Thursday night’s clash with Sydney at Marvel Stadium.
Dogs head of sports medicine Chris Bell said: “Bontempelli suffered a hyperextension to his knee during a contest in last weekend’s clash against Geelong and undertook a precautionary scan.
“While no major damage was discovered, Marcus will need to manage some soreness throughout the week and will be assessed to play in coming days.”
The Dogs have also listed Tim English as 1-3 weeks with his knee injury.
Noah Anderson’s availability for Round 7 remains unclear, with the Gold Coast Suns set to make a call later in the week.
Suns head physio Andrew Weller said: “Noah’s operation was successful and he is recovering well, however we will need to wait until closer to the weekend to determine if he’ll be available for selection this weekend.”
Gryan Miers has been ruled of Geelong’s game on Saturday as the Cats continues to explore the best course of action to manage his knee injury.
Geelong Cats EGM Football Andrew Mackie said: “Following consultation with the Club’s medical team and specialists, Gryan will be on an individualised program for next couple of weeks as we assess the best path forward for the long term.”
St Kilda ruck Tom De Koning is listed as a test after suffering a significant hip knock against Adelaide, with his availability impacting Rowan Marshall’s role.
