Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge says Tim English and Ed Richards will both undergo scans on Monday to determine the extent of their knee injuries.
Richards was a late withdrawal during the warm-up prior to Sunday’s win over Essendon, while English limped out of the game in the third term with a knee knock. Arthur Jones also picked up a hamstring concern.
“Hopefully Ed is alright,” Beveridge said. “He’ll have some scans. Tim English same thing, scans. Arty Jones, same thing.
“I can’t really give you anything on whether that’s going to keep them out of the game for any period of time. We’ll have to wait until we find out tomorrow.”
Beveridge elaborated further on Richards’ late withdrawal which came after final teams were submitted one hour pre-game and was cited as due to “knee soreness”.
He said: “(It occurred) In the muck-around-type warm up, where the boys go out and have a bit of a kick around, few shots, get moving.
“He just felt something in his knee, and even in the meeting that I take, the briefing before the game, I asked him how he was and he seemed pretty optimistic that he’s going to be okay.
“He went out, tried to warm up just before the group, and it was no good. We don’t know the extent of it.
“We’ve got a case study with one of our players having something similar, where he kept playing beyond the week, but we think it’s minor whatever it is.”
