The Perth Scorchers have confirmed their first international signing for BBL|16 with the addition of English spinner Calvin Harrison.
Harrison joins little more than two weeks after helping Trent Rockets reach the final of The Hundred, where he played under Rockets assistant and Perth Scorchers Head Coach Adam Voges.
The South African-born wrist spinner took 2-30 in the decider against Manchester Super Giants and collected 10 scalps at 19.70 throughout the tournament.
Harrison also featured in Northamptonshire’s title-winning T20 Blast team earlier this year, finishing that campaign with 22 wickets at 15.27 including a career-best 5-9 against Essex.
The 28-year-old spent four months in Australia during season 2024-25, playing for Camberwell Magpies in the Victorian Premier Cricket competition.
While Harrison is known predominantly for his bowling, he has also made three First Class centuries from 41 matches with the bat.
Perth Scorchers’ first signing since the Big Bash Leagues contracting embargo lifted on Thursday, Harrison adds variety to Scorchers spin brigade featuring left-arm orthodox bowlers Ashton Agar and Cooper Connolly.

The Club has eight list spots to fill before the KFC BBL|16 season.
