Stars
Marcus Stoinis looks set to return from a back issue with the Stars positive about him during Thursday’s game. Nathan Coulter-Nile will not travel as he recovers from injury and with Haris Rauf returning to Pakistan, Ahmed Daniyal could get a gig as a quick. Sydney Sixers v Sydney Thunder – Saturday 6:40pm AEDT @ SCG
Sixers
Shadab Khan is another import who has left the BBL prematurely to link up with his PSL club early. The Sixers are down on troops with Steve O’Keefe and Jordan Silk both recently injured, so Shadab’s replacement is tough. The Sixers seem to have adequate bowling depth without Shadab so they may try to find a role for prolific NSW Premier Cricket batsman Justin Avendano.
Probable Ins: J.Avendano
Probable Outs: Shadab Khan
Unavailable: S.O’Keefe (inj), N.Lyon (Ashes), B.Manenti (inj), T.Curran (inj), C.Jordan (stint over), J.Vince (England T20Is), J.Silk (inj), Shadab Khan (PSL)

Thunder
A bit depends on Muhammad Hasnain’s availability with talk he may depart for the PSL early but there’s no official word yet. Chris Tremain or Brendan Doggett would likely take his spot. Chris Green may be close to returning by Saturday night.

Heat
Expect mass changes from the Heat after a poor loss to the Strikers and with a host of players returning from COVID-19 and Test duties. Michael Neser and Mitch Swepson have been released from the Test squad and will be available so expect them to definitely come in.
Pakistani batsman Fakhar Zaman is definitely available, but Mujeeb Ur Rahman has left for Afghanistan’s ODIs. Mark Steketee should also be right to return, along with James Bazley, captain Jimmy Peirson, with Liam Guthrie, Will Prestwidge and the unlucky Lachlan Pfeffer to make way for them, along with Jake Lehmann and Nathan McSweeney.
Probable Ins: Fakhar Zaman, J.Bazley, M.Steketee, M.Neser, J.Peirson, M.Swepson
