Justin McInerney (AF $311k SC $244k MID) and Sam Wicks (AF $307k SC $208k MID) have held their spots for Sydney, but Zac Foot (AF $203k SC $141k MID/FWD) has missed out on a recall and James Bell (AF $376k SC $243k FWD) has been dropped.

For Melbourne, Trent Rivers (AF $352k SC $206k DEF/MID) retains his spot in their 22 but Kysaiah Pickett (AF $295k SC $214k FWD) has been omitted.

There’s no Tom Green (AF $322k SC $268k MID) or Xavier O’Halloran (AF $234k SC $154k MID) for GWS despite the loss of Josh Kelly (AF $779k SC $587k MID). Rising Star Jake Riccardi (AF $296k SC $173k FWD) holds his spot.

Patrick Cripps (AF $699k SC $532k MID) was the big talking point among selection but has been named despite his knee worry which had him listed as a “test”.

Carlton coach David Teague said at lunch: “He’s planning to play. We train after this (conference), he’s got to get through and pull up well. At this stage we plan to play him.”

Matt Cottrell (AF $243k SC $162k DEF) wins a recall while Tom De Koning (AF $264k SC $189k RUCK) has missed out.

Port Adelaide don’t play until Saturday’s match against North Melbourne, which is next round, but Power Footy GM Chris Davies has declared Dan Houston (AF $579k SC $437k DEF/MID) will return from his suspension.

Davies said: “Dan Houston has been selected in our team this weekend. He & Pete (Ladhams) made a significant mistake and copped their whack for it.”

West Coast Football GM Craig Vozzo revealed Luke Shuey (AF $611k SC $485k MID) injured both hamstrings in Tuesday’s win over Essendon and will likely miss three weeks.

Vozzo said on SEN: “We got the scans back today… It’s looking like it’s going to be a 14-21 days recovery period which given Luke’s previous hamstring problems is leaning more towards 21 days.”

Early season popular pick Curtis Taylor (AF $381k SC $266k FWD) has been ruled out for the season with his knee injury.

Lions coach Chris Fagan will front the press prior to Friday’s clash with Collingwood, with teams to be named at 6:20pm AEST. Sydney-Melbourne will already be underway by the time the Friday teams drop, while GWS-Carlton is the later game.
