Adelaide coach Matthew Nicks has offered an update on Izak Rankine’s injury status after he laboured through Saturday night’s loss to Port Adelaide.
Rankine twisted his ankle in the first quarter in a Zak Butters tacke but soldiered on. He also battled through a knee problem.
With all that, he only managed an underwhelming 12 possessions, by his standards.
“He managed to come back on and play it out,” Nicks said.
“It’ll be one of those ones where we have to wait 24 hours and see how he pulls up.
“I don’t know the details yet, I haven’t seen the doc, but fingers crossed.”
