West Coast coach Andrew McQualter has revealed Willem Duursma should be back from his calf injury following the Eagles’ Round 15 bye.
Duursma missed the Eagles’ one-point loss to North Melbourne on Saturday with a calf injury which hadn’t been reported until the team news dropped on Thursday.
McQualter elaborated on the issue following Saturday’s game.
“Earlier in the week he was a bit sore,” he said. “If it was grand final day, he probably would’ve played.
“He’s 18, he’s such a valuable asset to us. He was gutted to miss.
“But it just wasn’t quite worth the risk unfortunately.
“We’re confident he’ll be back after the bye.”
West Coast have the Round 15 bye before taking on Carlton at Marvel Stadium in Round 16.
