Sam Flanders’ season is over due to an Achilles injury, St Kilda has confirmed.
The well-owned utility sustained the injury in the second quarter of Thursday’s loss to Hawthorn and didn’t return.

St Kilda’s update said: “St Kilda Football Club can confirm Sam Flanders suffered a ruptured Achilles during Thursday night’s loss to Hawthorn.
“The midfielder was assisted from the ground during the second term and ruled out of the game at half-time, with scans today confirming the injury.
“Flanders has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2026 season and will undergo surgery next week.”
