UPDATES

Ollie Wines missed Port’s Round 4 win over Essendon with a hamstring strain but the club declared him “available” to face Freo in Round 5.

The Power injury report said: “Wines missed Port Adelaide’s win over Essendon, but has been training well and has been cleared to return to play.”

Freo ruckman Sean Darcy could face Port in that fixture, which may impact Luke Jackson’s role. Darcy has linked up with the Freo squad in Adelaide following a knee issue.

Freo High Performance Manager Phil Merriman said: “Sean has joined us (in Adelaide) and he is fired up and keen to get through main training. We will assess how he gets through main training and make the call on whether he plays this week.”

Elijah Hollands was subbed out of Carlton’s Round 4 game with an adductor issue but the club listed him as a test to play in Round 5. Carlton’s update said: “Scans have cleared him of any significant injury after Saturday’s win.”

Archie Perkins has been ruled out for several weeks due to a hamstring injury suffered against Port. Essendon’s injury report said: “Perkins will miss the next three weeks after straining his hamstring late in the third term of the Bombers’ loss to the Power.”

Will Setterfield has re-injured his knee and will miss again, impacting their midfield mix further. Jordan Ridley re-aggravated his quad injury and will miss another 4-6 weeks.

Sam Walsh is also listed as a test after a back injury. The Carlton update said: “Will need to complete full training this week to be available to play.”

Geelong listed Patrick Dangerfield (hamstring) as a test, while noted Cameron Guthrie was “two-to-four weeks” from returning from a quad injury, which will both impact their midfield mix.

Hawthorn flagged Will Day was “feeling unbelievable” and floated a Round 7 return from a foot injury.
