Campbell Chesser ($123.9k D/M) to Conor McKenna ($167.5k DEF)
No second thoughts needed here, McKenna has looked solid and is about to rocket up in price with a BE of -76. Aside from that the only other rookie I could target is Kade Chandler but it’s hard to justify trading anyone else in my team out for him. Esava Ratugolea is facing the axe next week if Samson Ryan (123.9k R/F) can back up his 72 this week against the Pies.
Janath Fernando @JanathFernando4
Liam Jones (228.1k DEF) to Nick Daicos (502.5k DEF)
Having a healthy remaining salary cap of over $100k heading into Round 3, I am able to facilitate this move which strengthens my D3 position. Daicos not only impresses with his scoring ceiling (129 and 149 SuperCoach points in Rounds 1 & 2), he also passes the eye test, especially his desire to have the ball at all times. I will part ways with Jones, who although impressed with a couple of intercept marks against a small St Kilda forward line, limped to a score of 76. To note, his Round 1 score of 5 points will only hamper his Round 3 cash generation. Elsewhere in my team, I am looking to get in Kade Chandler (123.9k FWD) and/or Ollie Hollands (162.3k MID), with Tanner Bruhn (311.4k MID/FWD) a definite casualty.
Casey McDonald @NaCheers
I have had a rough start with injuries so just trying to settle my team in a bit. I started Will Setterfield but if you didn’t, I’d be looking at him. Players I am looking at are Jack Bowes, Kade Chandler, Darcy Cameron and Jack Ziebell. I am unsure whether I want to play my boost or not. Darcy’s split in ruck is worrying me so I’m looking at a swap to DC. This allows some cash to potentially go Liam Jones to Bowes or Greene/Ratugolea to Ziebell. I know it’s a week early on Bowes but he looked really good. He got some kick ins and his heat map looked great scoring 108 at 277k. With Hopper and Callaghan under injury clouds, a lot is still to play out for me this week but these are who I am looking at.

Tanner Bruhn ($311.4k M/F) to Jack Ziebell ($356.4k FWD)
Gave the kid another chance after watching him through flowing tears and seeing his role be assassinated by Chris Scott in the second half. Was hoping that with Parfitt dropped and with a half-backer named as sub, Scott might have seen the light and left Tanner in the guts where he belongs. Instead, his TOG was even worse! If he didn’t have DPP already, I have no doubt that he would have ended up with BENCH DPP in round 6! There is no way I can keep him when there is a Ziegull devouring cheapies like we saw him do in 2021. Easiest sideways in my life from a failed midpricer to a potential keeper in either the forward or backline thanks to his inevitable defensive DPP change coming in round 6.
Dylan Bolch @BolchDylan
Campbell Chesser ($123.9k D/M) to Kade Chandler ($123.9k FWD)
Finn Callaghan ($244k MID) to Jack Ziebell ($356.4k FWD)
Sean Darcy ($562.2k RUC) to Darcy Cameron ($465.9k R/F)
I’ll preface this by saying that there is a possibility that I might not trade at all this week. There’s a chance that I will use a corrective trade to bring in Kade Chandler, who has a breakeven of -94. Chesser has shaky job security at best and clearly is struggling at the level. I’d love to be able to go Callaghan to Ziebell in one move, but I’m agonizingly short of funds. To be able to do that trade, I’d have to pull the trigger on Darcy to Cameron also, which isn’t a bad move but I was hoping to give Darcy one more week against a weak Eagles ruck line. Darcy’s past two outings against West Coast have yielded scores of 155 and 150. It’s fair to say my trades are definitely still up in the air this week!
Daniel Fleming @dgbfleming
Sam Flanders ($256.3k M/F) to Harry Sheezel ($198.3k FWD)
You will notice a common theme among my 3 trades this week, I have been stung by the preseason trap. Flanders’ VFL form last season and this year’s preseason form made him look on paper a fantastic selection for just over 250k. Unfortunately he’s been anything but that. As a North Melbourne supporter, I’m furious I left Sheezel out. I never saw him playing half back with Goater, Bergman, Ziebell and McDonald named down there but he has been incredible. Nick Daicos 2.0.
Tanner Bruhn ($311.4k M/F) to Jack Ziebell ($356.4k FWD)
Again, preseason scores and high CBA’s in preseason trapped me here. Bruhn has been absolutely awful. Straight swap to Jack Ziebell who is playing the back pocket accumulator role that he had a couple of seasons ago. Ziebell should get DPP in round 6. Should be a keeper this season.
Jack Steele (604.4k MID) to Luke Davies-Uniacke ($557.4k MID)
Steele actually looked good prior to injury, there’s many players in my squad I would love to trade out prior to Steele. However, with the injury he’s got to go. Davies-Uniacke looks the second coming of Chris Judd and must be sitting on 6 Brownlow votes after 2 rounds.

Sam Flanders ($256.3k M/F) to Jack Ziebell ($356.4k FWD) via cash ITB
I should have listened to those in the know about the Flanders pick at the start of the year when they said he was penciled in to replace Rankine. 2 poor scores have got me running to the trade table to offload the 256k forward as he won’t be making much cash or becoming a keeper in my side. I’ve gone for Jack Ziebell for 2 reasons, first he’s done this level of scoring before; in 2021 he averaged 107 and had some monster scores of 148, 155 and 169. Secondly his price, DPP and keeper potential. With an average of 100, he’s a lock in either your forward or backline (getting DEF DPP rd6), while being priced at 356k? It’s a no brainer for me. Also helps being a North fan and seeing former capt. Jack commanding the defensive structure. Huge fan of picking players you like to see on field every week!
