We want to see more of that… He’s in cos he played well on debut.”
Nicks also pumped up Jake Soligo (AF $351k SC $259 MID) in a good sign for his job security. He said: “Jake has shown he’s a very fast developer, has taken to the AFL speed really quickly.”
Elijah Hollands (AF $190k SC $123k M/F) was in Gold Coast’s extended squad but misses the final 22, while Malcolm Rosas (AF $348k SC $256k FWD) has dropped out due to illness.
UPDATES
Carlton’s mid-season draftee Sam Durdin (AF $195k SC $123k DEF) has been ruled out for a month after sustaining a knee injury on Thursday night.
The Blues update said: “Expected to be sidelined for the next month with a medial ligament injury… Underwent scans on Friday morning which confirmed the injury, which at this stage will likely rule the key defender out until approximately Round 19.”
