Kayne Baldwin pressed his case for a recall for Essendon with five goals in the VFL, while Gold Coast’s Elijah Hollands had plenty of footy and he homes in on an AFL debut.

Baldwin was named as an emergency for the Bombers, and showed he is ready to return to senior level with a strong display in the VFL on Sunday.

St Kilda’s Zak Jones is putting pressure on Marcus Windhager for a spot with 28 disposals in the VFL. Round 1 debutant Mitch Owens was also excellent with 26 possessions.

For Gold Coast, former top 10 draft pick Elijah Hollands gathered 23 disposals with two goals in a strong display.

West Coast’s mature-age draftee Greg Clark played for the first time since a pre-season shoulder injury on managed minutes, collecting 18 possessions with nine tackles.
