Maynard’s two-game ban upheld, Preuss accepts suspension, Lipinski available for R1, several SSPs added

Brayden Maynard’s ban was upheld while Brayden Preuss elected to accept his suspension and will miss Round 1, while there were several Supplementary Selection Period (SSP) signings made.

Collingwood unsuccessfully challenged Brayden Maynard’s (AF $683k SC $502k DEF) two-game ban for striking Daniel Lloyd, meaning he’ll miss Rounds 1 and 2.

Braydon Preuss (AF $367k SC $204k RUCK) and the GWS Giants accepted his one-game suspension for rough conduct meaning he’ll miss Round 1.

The Pies also confirmed that the ankle injury suffered by Pat Lipinski (AF $606k SC $359k MID) isn’t too bad and he is “expected to be available for Round 1”.

There were a bunch of Supplementary Selection Period (SSP) signings on Tuesday, with St Kilda adding ex-Port defender Jarrod Lienert, North acquiring ex-Adelaide forward Tom Lynch and Brisbane securing 24-year-old Mitch Cox from Williamstown.

West Coast also shuffled injured pair Campbell Chesser and Tom Cole on to their inactive list as they prepare to add Patrick Naish, Tom Joyce and Luke Strnadica as SSPs before Wednesday’s deadline.
