Wade returns for Hurricanes, Strikers confirm Rashid exit, Rauf to miss Stars double

Matthew Wade returned to the Hobart Hurricanes squad after missing two games, while clubs confirmed that Rashid Khan and Haris Rauf will both be departing after their next games.

The Hurricanes named a 15-man squad to play the Sydney Thunder from 3:45pm AEDT on Thursday at Marvel Stadium, with Matthew Wade ($84k WKP/BAT) returning after missing their past two for personal reasons.

The Hurricanes update said: “Wade has rejoined the squad in Victoria and will return to the field tomorrow.”

Harry Brook ($62k BAT) is out having been called into England’s squad for T20Is against the West Indies.

The Thunder named a 16-man squad for the game, with Brendan Doggett dropping out.

The Melbourne Renegades named a 14-man squad to play the Melbourne Stars from 7:35pm AEDT on Thursday, with Will Prestwidge ($105k BAT/BWL) back in, which may impact Will Sutherland ($48k BAT/BWL).

The Stars welcomed back fast bowler Nathan Coulter-Nile ($134k BWL) after a hamstring injury.

The Adelaide Strikers confirmed Rashid Khan ($149k BWL) to Honeyball that Wednesday’s game will be his last before flying to play in Afghanistan’s ODIs against the Netherlands.

The Melbourne Stars also confirmed to Honeyball that Haris Rauf‘s ($142k BWL) last game before heading to the Pakistani Super League (PSL) will be on Thursday against the Gades. This means Rauf misses the Stars’ Round 12 double.

Stars imports Syed Faridoun ($59k BWL) and Ahmed Daniyal ($63k BWL), however, are not returning to the PSL yet and will stay with the side for the rest of the BBL.

The Perth Scorchers confirmed that Colin Munro ($153k BAT) will not head to Pakistan early despite possessing a PSL contract, meaning he’ll be available or the rest of BBL|11.

Scorchers coach Adam Voges also offered an update on the availability of Mitch Marsh ($244k BAT/BWL), Josh Inglis ($86k WKP/BAT) and Jhye Richardson ($201k BWL).

Voges told Gilly and Goss on SEN: “My understanding is once the Hobart Test begins those guys will be released. We’re hopeful to have those guys for our last game & finals.”

Renegades’ Indian import Unmukt Chand ($105k BAT) also revealed on social media he has departed the club without playing a game.
