Heat and Sixers confirm squads as forecast improves for Tuesday’s game, Fakhar Zaman not available

The Brisbane Heat and the Sydney Sixers named their squads for Tuesday’s game with the forecasted rain improving, while Fakhar Zaman isn’t yet part of the Heat side despite arriving in Australia.

The Brisbane Heat named an unchanged 15-man squad to play Sydney Sixers on the Gold Coast on Tuesday night, with the forecast improving after 5-25mm rain was predicted earlier in the week, down to 0-3mm at the time of writing.

New Heat signing Fakhar Zaman ($125k BAT) will not be part of the side. The Heat update said: “Pakistan international batsman Fakhar Zaman will link with the team in Geelong (for game on January 6 versus Renegades).”

The Sixers named an unchanged 16-man squad to play the Heat.

Melbourne Stars coach David Hussey offered an interesting quote on his sides’ availability moving forward, ahead of their next scheduled game on Friday away to the Adelaide Strikers.

Hussey told RSN: “Most of the boys get out of isolation on Thursday. We play against the Strikers in Adelaide on Friday but not sure we’re allowed into that state. We’re waiting on CA on direction.”

Joe Burns ($84k BAT), Nathan Coulter-Nile ($134k BWL), Sam Elliott ($42k BWL), Clint Hinchliffe ($60k BAT/BWL), Nick Larkin ($103k BAT), Peter Nevill ($61k WKP/BAT), Sam Rainbird ($93k BWL), Beau Webster ($43K BAT), Adam Zampa ($110k BWL) and Marcus Stoinis ($81k BAT/BWL) all entered isolation on Friday. Joe Clarke ($109k BAT/WKP) and Tom Rogers ($42k BAT) entered on Monday.
