Dwarshuis named after injury, Sixers bowler out for season, Scorchers duo set for Round 3 return

Ben Dwarshuis was named for the first time this season by the Sydney Sixers whose Round 2 line-up looks unpredictable, while one of their bowlers was ruled out for the season and the Scorchers confirmed the return of their big guns next round.

Ben Dwarshuis ($181k BWL) was included to return from a side strain as the Sydney Sixers named an 18-man squad to play the Hobart Hurricanes on Saturday in Sydney.
Dwarshuis was the only inclusion, with Daniel Hughes ($65k BAT) named in the squad despite a finger concern.

Scorchers coach Adam Voges clarified: “Tymal Mills is here in Sydney finishing off his quarantine. I imagine he’ll join us for that (game in Hobart on December 14).”
The Strikers named a 15-man squad to face the Scorchers with Fawad Ahmed ($102k BWL) and Harry Conway ($89k BWL) added to the group.

UPDATES
In unfortunate news, Ben Manenti ($82k BWL) has been ruled out for the season with a stress fracture in his neck, which may aid the job security of a player like Hayden Kerr ($83k BAT/BWL).
Manenti posted on Instagram: “Absolutely shattered to have my BBL over just as it has just begun having been ruled out with a stress fracture in my neck.”
Voges also confirmed that Australia A pair Josh Inglis ($133k WKP/BAT) and Mitch Marsh ($132k BAT/BWL) will return in time for their Round 3 game against the Hobart Hurricanes, which may impact Aaron Hardie ($102k BAT/BWL), Cameron Bancroft ($92k BAT/WKP) and Kurtis Patterson‘s ($82k BAT) job security.
Voges said: “We’ll get Mitch Marsh and Josh Inglis back for our next game in Hobart.”
