Coleman-Jones JS concerns, Freo confident on Fyfe, McCreery out, Zac ban

Some injury news has shaken up Callum Coleman-Jones’ spot in the Richmond side, while there was an update on debutant Dylan Williams’ job security plus the latest on Nat Fyfe and Beau McCreery.
UPDATES
The job security and role of Callum Coleman-Jones (AF $430k SC $281k F/R) has been the subject of wide discussion following Richmond’s injury update.
Richmond Physical Performance Manager said about Mabior Chol (AF $427k SC $348k F/R), that he has “dislocated his little finger and played out the game… We will put him out at training tomorrow. Assess him for the game this week.”
Tom Lynch (AF $431k SC $318k FWD) is close to returning from a knee injury. Burge said: “He will do our main training session tomorrow and do all of it. If that is successful, I imagine he will be selected in the team to play.”
Dylan Williams (AF $176k SC $123k M/F) debuted for Port Adelaide on the weekend but didn’t set the world on fire, leaving AFL Fantasy coaches who jumped on worried about his job security.
Port assistant coach Jarrad Schofield said: “Dylan handled himself well. It was challenging coming up against a great defensive outfit and being stood side-by-side with Dane Rampe. You know you are up for a challenge and Dylan understood what AFL footy was all about with the speed of the game, the work rate required.
“He might not have got a lot of the ball but he had impact where he had to defend or tackle or just halve a contest as evident with that Mayes’ goal. He stood up when he needed to. He will be better for the run. He cramped after the game. He is a young fella still learning.”
He also revealed Connor Rozee (AF $526k SC $399k FWD) will go for scans on a leg knock.
Fremantle remain bullish that Nat Fyfe (AF $659k SC $538k M/F*) will return next round after being a late withdrawal with his shoulder issue.
Freo Executive Footy GM Peter Bell said: “Unfortunately, he didn’t come up for the game but we are really confident that he will be available against Carlton.”
There was bad news for rookie Beau McCreery (AF $320k SC $210k FWD) who has been ruled out for six weeks with his hamstring injury.
The Pies injury update said: “Scans have revealed a high grade hamstring strain sustained from a chase down effort. There is little tendon damage which means surgery is not required.”
Jordan Clark (AF $388k SC $263k D/M) injured his shoulder in the VFL. Geelong Footy GM Simon Lloyd: “Jordan had been in strong form and unfortunately suffered an AC joint injury. We’re currently working through his rehabilitation timelines and we expect him to be without him for several weeks.”
Zac Williams (AF $539k SC $457k D/M) has been charged with engaging in rough conduct and offered a one-game ban.
TOMORROW
Damien Hardwick will speak to the media ahead of Richmond’s Thursday game against Gold Coast.
