Stay up to date throughout the round with our rolling injury report from the coaches post-game. With the six-game round extending from Friday through until Sunday afternoon, these snippets of info will be key.

Fremantle v Western Bulldogs

Nat Fyfe (AF $659k SC $538k M/F*) finished the game on the bench after hurting his shoulder. Freo coach Justin Longmuir said: “He’s going to have to get it scanned. I think it’s positive that it popped back in on the field … I can’t put a timeframe on it.”

Sean Darcy (AF $681k SC $544k RUCK) also went down injured and Longmuir said: “Looks like a hamstring strain.”

Brennan Cox (AF $360k SC $379k DEF) was another to go down, with a hamstring issue. Longmuir added: “Brennan did his hammy, it doesn’t look positive at this stage. “It looks high grade. Potentially (it could be season ending) but we don’t need to go there just yet so we will get it scanned and let you know.”

Mitch Crowden (AF $320k SC $251k FWD) suffered an AC joint knock, Matt Taberner (AF $498k SC $357k FWD) was a late withdrawal and Griffin Logue (AF $359k SC $334k DEF) was subbed out with concussion.

The Dogs subbed out ruckman Stefan Martin (AF $388k SC $275k RUCK) with an AC joint injury. Beveridge said: “He’s hurt his shoulder. The good thing is we don’t play this weekend, hopefully he’s a sneaky chance for Geelong. We’ll get it scanned & understand the extent.

Carlton v West Coast

Harry McKay (AF $465k SC $341k FWD) was subbed out early with concussion, while Nic Newman (AF $569k SC $425k DEF) also went down after falling on his head. Blues coach David Teague said: "I think they're both concussions, as far as I know."

Brad Sheppard (AF $502k SC $321k DEF) also went off early with concussion for West Coast.

Essendon v Richmond

Andrew McGrath (AF $664k SC $493k MID) was subbed out with a knee injury early in the game. Essendon coach Ben Rutten said: "We're not sure how long we'll miss him. Obviously not good enough to keep playing on... We'll have to wait and see how long we miss him for, we've got the bye next week."

David Zaharakis (AF $470k SC $348k MID) also succumbed to a hamstring injury and was benched. Rutten said: "He got a bit tight through his hamstring. The medical staff didn't think he was good enough to go on."

Richmond subbed out Dion Prestia (AF $573k SC $394k MID) in his second game back from injury. Tigers coach Damien Hardwick: "He's had some hamstring tightness. We're not too sure how serious it is. He'll obviously be doubtful next week. He's had some history so we took him off."

Hardwick mentioned that Kane Lambert (AF $617k SC $447k FWD) and Toby Nankervis (AF $628k SC $468k RUCK) were both progressing well from calf and knee injuries.

He said: "Kane Lambert is available to play next week which is a real positive for us. Toby is progressing a lot better than we thought at this stage."

Adelaide v Collingwood

Pies coach Nathan Buckley spoke about Brodie Grundy's (AF $798k SC $627k RUCK) neck injury. “That’d be unlikely (to play Round 13)," he said. The initial plan is for him to miss at least another one then into the bye and see how he’s tracking in 3 weeks’ time.

"Getting the inflammation of that nerve down is the most important thing. Then we’ll take steps from there. Our medicos are taking advice from specialists in the area. He’s no problem running around but at the moment he’s no contact.”

Scott Pendlebury (AF $596k SC $399k M/F*) has battled injury lately but impressed. Buckley said: "Potentially (he could play more half-back)... Pendles was huge. He's not a champion for nothing. He gets it done & continues to find a way to influence games."

Buckley also said Brayden Sier (AF $369k SC $258k MID), who was subbed off, had a "knock to the jaw" and was "dazed" but not concussed at this stage.

Sydney v St Kilda

Jarryn Geary (AF $379k SC $320k DEF) suffered a dislocated shoulder. St Kilda coach Brett Ratten said: "Not sure (about the severity), they were still trying to get it in. He was trying to hop into an ambulance to take him to hospital."

Mason Wood (AF $418k SC $243k FWD) was subbed out early with a hamstring injury. Ratten said it'd be "around three weeks".

Melbourne v Brisbane Lions

Dayne Zorko (AF $747k SC $579k M/F) was reported for striking Tom McDonald and has since been offered a one-game ban.

Ryan Lester (AF $340k SC $293k DEF) was subbed out late with a recurrence of his hamstring injury, which may impact James Madden's (AF $229k SC $176k D/F) selection.

Brisbane coach Chris Fagan said: “I don't think it's as bad. He felt a slight tweak... We've got the bye so hopefully he'll be OK in a couple of weeks time."

Fagan also assured that Lachie Neale (AF $746k SC $578k MID) got through OK after injury. Fagan said: “He showed some good form. Hopefully he'll benefit from that hit-out. He'll be sore tomorrow, no doubt, but he's got a couple of weeks to get over it."

Christian Salem (AF $706k SC $531k DEF) came off late but Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin clarified: "We just gave him an early mark. Salo has been carrying a few niggles in the last few weeks. We're just making sure we get him right... We whacked him away early to get him ready for next week."
