R10 Rolling Injury Report: Treloar syndesmosis fear, Duncan concussed, Waterman rap

Stay up to date throughout the round with our rolling injury report from the coaches post-game. With the round extending from Friday through until Sunday evening, these snippets of info will be key.
Essendon v North Melbourne
Neither sub was used. Dons coach Ben Rutten said Jake Stringer (AF $451k SC $327k FWD) and Sam Draper (AF $453k SC $378k RUCK) are “getting close”.
Rutten also spoke about the return of Alec Waterman (AF $280k SC $167k FWD). He said: “I thought he was good. Alec had played predominantly for us as a forward, we sent him back to the VFL to grow his game. Tonight he got an opportunity to put that on show. Tonight he got rewarded for that.”
Collingwood v Port Adelaide
Neither sub was used.
GWS Giants v West Coast
Sam Taylor (AF $462k SC $418k DEF) and Jack Buckley (AF $396k SC $334k DEF) had late ankle injuries but weren't subbed for GWS. Giants coach Leon Cameron was hopeful they were OK.
Elliot Yeo (AF $679k SC $483k MID) played in the WAFL on the weekend after a long lay-off with a groin injury. Eagles coach Adam Simpson said: “He's a chance, so we've got to work through that.
“We've been really patient with 'Yeoey', it's always been a longer-term view. If he pulls up great, fresh, got his minutes in, had eight or nine tackles and is jumping out of his skin on Monday, we can talk. But if he pulled up a little bit sore, and these things you don't feel pain-free straight away, he might need another week.”
Alex Witherden (AF $650k SC $428k DEF) was a late withdrawal. Simpson said: "He pulled up a bit sore after the captain's run. He was a bit tight in the groin so had to manage him."
Western Bulldogs v St Kilda
Adam Treloar (AF $742k SC $520k MID) was subbed out with an ankle injury. Dogs coach Luke Beveridge said: "They'll need to assess it, he'll be out for a little while. They think it's a low grade syndesmosis injury which usually means you're out for a number of weeks, not sure how many."
Anthony Scott (AF $319k SC $286k M/F) ended up on the bench after a head knock although it may not be concussion. Beveridge said: "He had a bit of blurred vision. The way the game was going, we thought we'd be conservative with him. We think he'll be fine."
On Tim English's (AF $595k SC $491k RUCK) concussion, Beveridge also said he's "pretty sure he'll be fine". He also said Toby McLean (AF $508k SC $366k FWD) will play VFL next weekend.
Fremantle v Sydney
Dockers forward Matt Taberner (AF $528k SC $384k FWD) was subbed out with an "ankle tweak" and will have scans.
Sydney had a concern in the first half with Tom Hickey (AF $545k SC $486k RUCK) but he played on.
Swans coach John Longmire said: "It's happened a couple of times since he got back from his PCL. It hurts him for a patch and then he's able to get going. Hopefully that's less & less as his knee gets stronger."
Robbie Fox (AF $413k SC $385k DEF) was subbed out with a scratched eyeball and was taken to hospital.
Adelaide v Melbourne
Christian Salem (AF $733k SC $558k DEF) was a late out with soreness. Demons coach Simon Goodwin said "he'll be available next week".
Geelong v Gold Coast
Cam Guthrie (AF $829k SC $617k MID) had a shoulder worry but played the game out. Geelong coach Chris Scott said: "He went back on the ground so we're pretty confident it's not serious but I don't really know. We think it's an AC which is much better news than a dislocation or broken collarbone."
Mitch Duncan (AF $870k SC $597k MID) was subbed off with concussion and will miss next round.
Carlton v Hawthorn
No subs were used. Jaeger O'Meara (AF $713k SC $541k MID) copped a big hit in a collision. Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson said: "He's OK. It was a strong hit... to the shoulder and the scone. He'll get assessed by the docs. It's encouraging he was able to get himself off the ground."
Brisbane Lions v Richmond
Neither side used their sub. Richmond appear set to see a few players return including, Trent Cotchin (AF $525k SC $397k MID) and Shai Bolton (AF $652k SC $498k M/F). This will likely impact Riley Collier-Dawkins (AF $290k SC $182k MID).
Richmond coach Damien Hardwick said: "We expect a minimum of two and a max of four back. Cotchin and Prestia will be the definites at this stage. They've got to get through training. Bolton, I think, will be highly probable as well."
Shane Edwards (AF $549k SC $448k MID) is another one who's not far off. Hardwick said: "Shane is the one we'll wait and see after (Saturday's) session." Hugo Ralphsmith (AF $176k SC $123k M/F) is another who'll be impacted by the additions.
