Young & Witts injury diagnoses, Fyfe update, Rutten offers Cox & Jones praise

Hayden Young’s hamstring injury diagnosis was confirmed by Fremantle and it wasn’t good, while there was bad injury news for Jarrod Witts, Stephen Coniglio, Daniel Talia and Tom Rockliff.

Hayden Young (AF $369k SC $280k DEF) will be out for a “lengthy period” as revealed by Fremantle Executive General Manager of Football Peter Bell said: “He’s sustained a high-grade hamstring injury.

“We’re just working through exactly what that looks like but he’ll be unavailable for a lengthy period of time.”

Bell also spoke about the return of Nat Fyfe (AF $700k SC $608k MID) from concussion.

He said: “Nat’s continuing to progress really well. We’re hopeful that he’ll continue to tick every box in concussion protocols and we’ll make a decision on his availability later in the week.”
