UPDATES
Haris Rauf ($176k BWL) has been named in the Pakistan Test squad for an upcoming series against South Africa which starts on January 26 and flies out of Melbourne on Saturday, thus ending his BBL|10 after only three games.
The Pakistan Cricket Board statement said: “The players will enter the bio-secure bubble on 19 January and the squad will be trimmed to 16 players ahead of the first Test.”
The Stars will have been caught out by Rauf’s selection, given he’s uncapped at Test level.
One player they’re likely to have is Adam Zampa ($186k BWL) who hurt his shoulder in the field in Friday’s win over the Strikers before returning to take a five-wicket haul.
Meanwhile, Friday’s hero Andre Fletcher ($64k WKP/BAT) might also be leaving the Stars prematurely as he’s signed with Bangla Tigers in the Abu Dhabi T10 League which starts in the UAE on January 28.
Fletcher said: “I’m not too sure (if I’ll stay or go). I signed a T10 deal a few weeks before the BBL so I’ll have a think about it & speak to my agent… I’d love to stay to be honest.”
SATURDAY
