DEBUTANT ALERTS
Sydney’s Sam Wicks (AF $170k SC $123k MID) has got the nod. The club website wrote: “The Sydney Swans Academy product joined the club as a Category B Rookie in November 2018 and was elevated to Sydney’s senior list last month, paving the way for his debut.”

Jeremy Sharp (AF $218k SC $117k MID) is into the Gold Coast. The Suns website wrote: “Sharp was taken with pick 27 in the 2019 NAB AFL Draft and has been one of the standouts in recent scratch matches.”

Collingwood’s Trey Ruscoe (AF $170k SC $117k DEF/MID) has come in for the Pies. He was pick 55 in 2019 AFL Draft and is a tall defender from East Fremantle.

DRAPER IN
Essendon ruckman Sam Draper (AF $197k SC $123k RUCK) will play against GWS Giants on Friday night, with coach John Worsfold indicating he won’t be dropped.

Worsfold said: “We’re really pleased with Sam’s debut game. He’s certainly going to get the opportunity to ruck again this week.”

ROOKIE FLAGS
GWS Giants coach Leon Cameron has flagged two potential debutants Jack Buckley (AF $170k SC $123k MID/FWD) and Xavier O’Halloran (AF $170k SC $123k MID).

Cameron said: “We’ll finalise our team tonight after training today. There’s guys who are playing really great footy at lower level. Buckley, O’Halloran and Ward will put his hand up.”

Callan Ward (AF $556k SC $488k MID) could be in contention after a knee issue too, although Cameron was non-committal.

TOMORROW
West Coast coach Adam Simpson will front the press. Collingwood will play Sydney and the Gold Coast Suns will take on St Kilda, while the teams for Friday’s GWS-Essendon will be confirmed.
