BIG SWAN TO MISS AGAIN
If you’ve held Sam Naismith (AF $314k, SC $251k – RUCK), we’ve got bad news, he’s probably going to miss another game.

Sydney GM of Football Charlie Gardiner provided an update, when he said: “He’s coming along well. He’s running faster now and says he’s feeling really good. He’ll do some skills training.

“I sense he might be a bit short this week but we’ll see.”

LION’S ACHILLES
Dayne Zorko
(AF $734k, SC $551k – MID) may be in doubt for Saturday’s Round Three clash with West Coast due to an Achilles issue, although we’re inclined to think he’ll be okay.

Lions High Performance Manager Damian Austin: “He’s a little bit sore in the Achilles. We’ll just monitor that throughout the week.

“Later in the week we’ll get him in to training but for the moment we’ll let it recover.”

GRUNDY SCARE
Plenty of coaches were stressing when they saw Brodie Grundy (AF $909k, SC $717k – RUCK) suffer a knock in the Round Two draw with Richmond.

Grundy played out the game and still scored reasonably well, but his teammate Tom Phillips provided an update will have some coaches anxious.

“Brodie will be fine to go by Thursday,” Phillips said. “He’s just been tracking safely and smartly early on in the week. He’s OK, just a niggle from his knock.”

PUP KENNELED
Popular pre-season pick Ben Cavarra (AF $173k, SC $123k – FWD) won’t be playing for 2-3 weeks due to a hand injury.

Western Bulldogs medical services manager Chris Bell said: “Ben had his hand stood on at training on Sat.

“This broke one of the bones in his hand. The surgery went well but we expect Ben to miss the next 2-3 games.”

OTHERS
Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir has given his strongest indication yet that Jesse Hogan (AF $490k, SC $327k – FWD) could play.

“There’s a spot clearly in our forward line if Lobby goes into the ruck (with Sean Darcy injured),” Longmuir said.

“We’re really pleased with how Jesse handled last week after not getting selected. He went back and played against Brisbane reserves and did a fantastic job. He’ll put his name up for selection this week.”

Jarryn Geary will miss St Kilda’s Round Three game with Collingwood due to a minor hamstring strain. Fellow defender Dylan Roberton (AF $317k, SC $260k – DEF) may be in contention for a call-up but coach Brett Ratten’s comments post-game on Sunday suggested he’s unlikely.

Port have ruled out defender Ryan Burton of their Round Three game against Fremantle due to a knee strain. Ollie Wines may be his replacement.

Popular SuperCoach forward Tom Lynch (AF $443k, SC $398k – FWD) says there’s “nothing to see” after a foot scan and he’s fine to play. “The doctors were being cautious but I’ll play this week,” Lynch declared.

Carlton’s Tom De Koning (AF $190k, SC $123k – RUCK) will be available for selection this round after an ankle injury.

Freo midfielder David Mundy flagged rookie Lloyd Meek (AF $170k, SC $123k – RUCK) as a possible option to replace the injured Darcy.

TOMORROW
Coaches Luke Beveridge, Chris Scott, Damien Hardwick, Alastair Clarkson and John Worsfold will all front the media along with Andrew Gaff and Matt de Boer.
