St Kilda duo Tom De Koning and Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera haven’t been listed in the Saints weekly injury report.
The duo both had hip concerns during last week’s loss to Sydney. The availability of De Koning, who played on in apparent discomfort, would likely impact Rowan Marshall’s role.
Carlton defender Nic Newman will miss the rest of the home-and-away season, listed as 6-7 weeks by the Blues with his hamstring injury.
The Blues said: “Commenced his rehabilitation, with the Club to provide a further update on his progress when he returns to training.”
Teammate Liam Reidy is a test as he exits concussion protocols.
Jordan De Goey is in doubt for Collingwood this round. Collingwood’s injury update said: “De Goey had glute soreness following Thursday’s game against Geelong. His availability for Round 22 will be assessed following main training on Thursday.”
Pat Lipinski will miss 2-3 weeks with a minor calf strain.
Hawthorn youngster Noah Mraz will miss 4-5 weeks with his kidney issue. Hawks high performance manager Peter Burge said: “We’re looking at a return potentially, the week of bye in the AFL, providing we’re not in the Wildcard Round this year.”
Karl Amon (knee) is a test to return this round, which could impact Jarman Impey. Burge said: “Karl’s progressed really well over the last week, did some good training towards the end of last week and over the weekend we’re anticipating him training on Wednesday for a full training session and then being available, so we’ll confirm that after the training session tomorrow.”
Richmond rookie Sam Cumming’s season is over with ankle/shoulder injuries. The Tigers injury report said: “Cumming suffered a moderate grade syndesmosis injury in a tackle during Sunday’s game.
“The ankle injury will not require surgery, but we will take the opportunity for him to go in and have his shoulder operated on. For Sam to have played 14 AFL games this year is a great result after his pre-season shoulder injury, and he will be better for it coming into 2027.”
Contrary to previous reports, Zak Butters’ season isn’t actually over. Port’s injury update listed him as 2-3 weeks and said: “Butters began running on Monday in his return from a syndesmosis repair, with the midfielder pushing for a possible return late in the season.”
Rory Laird will have to face a fitness test to return from a low-grade ankle syndesmosis to take his place against Richmond.
Crows General Manager High Performance Ian McKeown said: “Lairdy just needs to get through training this week to have his hand up for our game against Richmond. It’s a credit to him, he’s a true professional and completed everything asked during his rehab.”
Sam Berry (foot) and James Peatling (hip/groin) will both be listed as tests. Wayne Milera (hamstring) is listed as 2-3 weeks.
West Coast revealed Ollie Francou is 2 weeks away from a return from a knee laceration. Eagles high performance manager Phil Merriman said: “We are still allowing time for Olie’s wound to heal.
“He will remain in a brace until later this week, and we will look to get him moving early next week.”
GWS skipper Toby Greene could return from a quad injury for their clash with Gold Coast. GWS injury report said: “Greene has missed the last two games with a quad injury and will need to get through this week’s full training schedule in order to prove his readiness to return to Adam Kingsley’s side.”
Sydney’s James Rowbottom (hand fracture) will miss 4 weeks, while Justin McInerney (hamstring) is 1-2 weeks off.
Brisbane confirmed Hugh McCluggage (calf) has been cleared of any injury concern, having trained on Tuesday, meaning he’s available for selection. Brisbane said Dayne Zorko is also “set to return in a timely boost”.
Jeremy Cameron (AC joint) is 1-3 weeks from a return, while Patrick Dangerfield (hip) is available.
