West Coast coach Andrew McQualter admits he’s concerned for midfielder Deven Robertson after exiting Sunday’s loss to Geelong with a knee injury.
Robertson was left grounded after hyperextending his left knee upon contact with Geelong ruckman Mitch Edwards in the fourth quarter.
The Eagles midfielder limped off the field with the assistance of medical staff and didn’t return, with his knee iced up.
“He didn’t finish the game, so there’s some concern there,” McQualter told reporters.
“We’ll just go away and do all the checks on him and see where it lands.”
When pressed on the incident, McQualter added: “I haven’t looked at the incident to be honest. He came off, the medical team said he wasn’t right to go back on.”
West Coast’s next game is on Sunday against Fremantle in the Western Derby.
