Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge is hopeful on Ed Richards’ prognosis after hobbling out of Saturday night’s loss to Hawthorn with a knee injury.
Richards had missed the Dogs’ win over Essendon in Round 4 due to a knee tendon problem that sparked up during the warm-up.
He was a surprise inclusion for the Round 5 clash with the Hawks, but were forced off in the fourth quarter after copping another knock on the knee.
“We don’t know the extent of it yet, we’ll have a look at it through the imaging and then get back to you,” Beveridge said.
“We just hope it’s not too bad, but I can’t give you anything until the medical staff give us something definitive.”
Meanwhile, Beveridge was also pressed on Tim English’s timeline, with no confirmation on the extent of his MCL injury yet.
“I think I said the other day it’ll probably be mid next week,” English said on when they’ll make a call on English.
“We’re just waiting for it to settle and to give you that prediction. Not sure what it is yet.”
