Sydney Thunder all-rounder Shadab Khan has returned to action after five months out with a shoulder injury.
According to reports in Pakistan, Shadab played in a practice game in Lahore earlier this week.
He hadn’t played since June 1, having undergone shoulder surgery in London in early July.
It has been reported that Shadab’s next step is to join Pakistan’s T20 Tri-Series squad from 17-29 November to face Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
That return would afford Shadab plenty of time to prove his full fitness for BBL|15 where he’s likely to play a key role for the Thunder.
The Thunder took Shadab with pick 12 in the BBL Draft shortly prior to his shoulder surgery.
He’s one of several spinners in their squad, along with Chris Green and Tanveer Sangha, although Ravi Ashwin’s withdrawal is likely to thrust Shadab into a bigger bowling role.
