Pakistani all-rounder Shadab Khan is a player of interest to many SuperCoaches who would’ve been buoyed by his recent injury update.
Shadab Khan hasn’t played since June 1 due to a shoulder injury, yet the Thunder still took him with pick 12 in the BBL Draft on June 19.
He underwent the surgery in London on July 5, carried out under guidance from the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Late last month he provided an update after a stint in London with Dr. Javaid Mughal, posting on X: “Headed home now to Pakistan, will continue my rehab & I hope to get back to match fitness soon.”
Massive thanks to Dr. Javaid Mughal & his family for taking such great care of me through my entire rehab process in England. Grateful for your support, time & kindness.

Earlier in October, he had shared a video on social media going through intense rehabilitation exercises, gym workouts and bowling practice, in a sign he’s building up his fitness towards a playing return.
The Thunder recently lost Indian spinner Ravi Ashwin for the entire BBL|15 campaign due to a knee surgery.
They’ll likely deploy spinners Chris Green and One-Day Cup leading wicket-taker Tanveer Sangha in their preferred XI, alongside leg-spinner Shadab. The Thunder’s ENGIE Stadium pitch has traditionally suited slow bowlers.
New Zealander import Lockie Ferguson will miss their first few games due to ILT20 commitments.
