It’s late in the AFL Fantasy and SuperCoach season, with minimal relevant news although there were a few key injury updates headlined by Sam Docherty.
UPDATES
Carlton put out an encouraging injury update on Monday evening, after Sam Docherty (AF $894k SC $561k D/M) was subbed out on Saturday night following a calf issue, which they called a “cork”.
The Blues update said: “Was subbed out after receiving a knock to the calf that tightened up as the game went on. Will be assessed later in the week in regards to his availability.”
Carlton also offered brief updates on midfield duo Adam Cerra (AF $828k SC $583k MID) and Sam Walsh (AF $729k SC $535k MID) who are both currently sidelined with hamstring injuries.
The update said for both: “Aiming to be available next week.”
The Brisbane Lions confirmed Jack Gunston will miss the last two home-and-away games due to an MCL strain, which may open the door for Kai Lohmann.
Meanwhile, Daniel Rich re-injured his hamstring in the VFL on Saturday and will miss four weeks, ruling him out for the rest of the home-and-away season.
Hawthorn revealed Chad Wingard’s season is over with an Achilles tendon injury requiring surgery, which may open the door for a rookie or someone like Seamus Mitchell to return.
