High 2022 AFL Draft pick Elijah Tsatas produced another strong display to push his Essendon debut chances with 25 disposals in the VFL on Sunday.

Tsatas went with pick five in the 2022 AFL Draft before a meniscus injury in pre-season which ruled him out of action until a fortnight ago.

But the teenager has slowly built and quickly impressed, having a team-high 25 disposals in Sunday’s 31-point loss to Carlton, with 10 kicks and 15 handballs including seven clearances.

Alwyn Davey’s bid for an AFL recall may have been stalled by no goals but he had nine tackles and 16 disposals in a busy display.

Quinton Narkle continued to press his senior chances for Port, after being picked up in the Mid-Season Draft, gathering 33 touches and booting a goal. Orazio Fantasia managed four goals up forward too.

Sydney’s Mid-Season Draftee Jack Buller booted 5.4 in their three-point win over Sandringham on Friday, boosting his hopes of an AFL debut.

Hawthorn’s Fergus Greene also boosted his hopes of a recall with five majors in the VFL.
