Another bye week means another week where you will have the opportunity to loop your VC from any game apart from the final one of the round, so once again I will give you my five best captain options for the week, and you can choose who to VC/C from those.
- Tim Taranto
Not much needs to be said about why Taranto sits on top of the list this week. The only player to have scored 100 or more every week this year, with a low score of 108. A 131.7 average in his last 3 games. 1 score below 120 in his last 7. What more can you ask for?
- Andrew Brayshaw
Brayshaw entered his bye having scored 5 tons in a row, including a 157 and a 135. This week he comes up against Richmond, who have allowed 13 tons to be scored against them in the last 3 weeks. That is more than 4 a game. In these tons from the last 3 weeks, there is a 158 from Merrett and 134 from Callan Ward in there. Brayshaw is going to absolutely feast.
- Tom Green
This man is being severely underrated for the season he is putting together. Averaging 114.5 for the season, only 4 scores under 110 all year and a ceiling of 170. They are ridiculously good numbers. The reason he sits so high this week though, is because of his matchup alone. North Melbourne’s midfield is without Greenwood, Simpkin and LDU this week. Green is going to be coming up against a group of kids, and he is going to dominate. Lock in another 110+ this week, with the potential of it being another monster ceiling score.
- Errol Gulden
Playing on Friday night in a very fantasy friendly matchup against the Saints, with a 5 round rolling average of 127.4 which includes two 150+ scores, Gulden is the perfect VC option this week. Fresh off a bye, expect Errol to pick up right where he left off and pump out another 100+ score this week.
- Josh Dunkley
We know this man can score with the best of them, and he was starting to hit some form coming into his bye. A 5 round rolling average of 122.4 which includes a high score of 172, Dunks is getting to the form we all expected from him entering the season. A match up against the Hawks this week, who he had 132 and 105 against last year, and who allowed Butters (129) and Rozee (121) to win the ball at will last week, Dunkley should be in for a huge day.
