Kane Richardson has been managed by the Melbourne Renegades in Round 4 ahead of their Round 5 double, while Fazalhaq Farooqi has sensationally had his contract terminated ending his BBL campaign.

Kane Richardson ($167k BWL) has been left out of the Melbourne Renegades’ 14-man squad for Saturday’s clash with the Hobart Hurricanes at Blundstone Arena.
Jack Prestwidge ($80k BAT/BWL) has replaced Richardson in the squad. The Gades said: “Richardson has been managed and will miss the Christmas Eve clash in Hobart.”
Mitch Owen ($62k BAT/BWL) was added to the Hurricanes’ 15-man squad, with Billy Stanlake ($68k BWL) still absent.

Fazalhaq Farooqi ($143k BWL) has had his Sydney Thunder contract terminated, effectively immediately.
The Thunder said in a statement: “Sydney Thunder have terminated the contract of Fazalhaq Farooqi, following a hearing held by Cricket Australia’s Conduct Commissioner. Following the Commissioner’s ruling, Sydney Thunder took the extra step of terminating the contract.
“The club received a complaint about the behaviour of Farooqi following an incident last Thursday and referred the matter to Cricket Australia’s Integrity Unit for investigation. All impacted parties have been offered support.
“In accordance with the terms of the Integrity Unit investigation, no further comment will be made. No decision has yet been made about a replacement player.”
Pakistani spinner Usman Qadir ($105k BWL) is available to the Thunder having landed in Sydney last week.
