Todd Goldstein is in doubt for Round 23 along with North rookie Paul Curtis and Carlton provided no new update on George Hewett ending hopes of those needing a late recovery.
UPDATES
Firstly, Carlton reverted to last week’s update with George Hewett (AF $766k SC $536k D/M) who will almost certainly miss Round 23 with a back issue.
North ruckman Todd Goldstein (AF $617k SC $475k F/R) will face a test to prove his fitness for Round 23 due to an ankle issue picked up on the weekend.
North Head of Performance Kevin White said: “Goldy had an ankle inversion episode in the third quarter, among the carnage on the bench. As the game progressed his function declined with jumping and landing activities, but he pulled up well on Monday and turned a corner today.”
Rookie Paul Curtis (AF $450k SC $294k FWD) is also in doubt with a shoulder injury. White said: “He is progressing well with low-levels skill work this morning, and his discomfort levels are subsiding daily. We will look to assess whether Paul is able to function fully in main training as to whether he’ll be available for selection.”
Jed Anderson (AF $681k SC $414k M/F) has entered concussion protocols, while Jaidyn Stephenson (AF $635k SC $415k M/F) is likely to miss too due to a back complaint.
St Kilda listed Dan Hannebery (AF $474k SC $255k MID) as a test for Round 23 with his ankle complaint.
