West Coast v Adelaide

West Coast didn’t use their sub, while Adelaide lost Will Hamill (AF $324k SC $292k DEF) to concussion.

Brisbane Lions v Carlton

Callum Ah Chee (AF $428k SC $309k D/M) was subbed out after a high hit from Patrick Cripps (AF $790k SC $525k MID) who may come under match review scrutiny.

On the incident, Carlton coach Michael Voss said: “From what I’ve seen the arms were outstretched and it was a pretty even contest and there’s micro-seconds in it, so if we are asking players to make micro-second decisions, I don’t know whether the game enables that, I really don’t.”

Marcus Adams (AF $442k SC $365k DEF) went off in the last term after a heavy knock. Jack Martin (AF $419k SC $282k FWD) was subbed out in the last quarter for Carlton with a tight calf.

North Melbourne v Sydney

Neither side used their sub. Ben McKay (AF $357k SC $327k DEF) was a late out for North with an AC joint issue.

Chad Warner (AF $770k SC $563k MID) impressed again in midfield. Swans coach John Longmire said: “He’s developing into a really good player for us. He’s playing key roles in our midfield and he’s able to use his power to advantage. He’s still developing but developing pretty quickly.”

Port Adelaide v Richmond

Port didn’t use their sub but Connor Rozee (AF $791k SC $564k M/F) laboured with a left knee concern. Power coach Ken Hinkley said: “It will be interesting to see how he pulls up because he’ll be one that we’ll have to monitor really closely.

“We had good conversations with the medical team and they were very certain there was not going to be any further damage done. It was whether the pain was manageable for Connor and he seemed to think it was. You wouldn’t take a risk with a player like Connor, regardless of the stage of the season.”

Nick Vlastuin (AF $756k SC $558k DEF) was subbed out after copping a Charlie Dixon knee to his ribs. Richmond coach Damien Hardwick said: “He’s probably doubtful. We suspect he’s got some form of rib damage. I’d say he’s incredibly doubtful for next week.”

Geelong v St Kilda

Patrick Dangerfield (AF $597k SC $399k MID) was a late out with calf tightness in the warm-up, while Mark Blicavs (AF $676k SC $458k D/R) was managed out. On Dangerfield, Geelong coach Chris Scott said: “The feedback I’ve got from him and the medical staff is that he’s fine. He felt some awareness in the warm-up.”

The Saints subbed out injury-prone veteran Dan Hannebery (AF $478k SC $255k MID) with an ankle injury and St Kilda coach Brett Ratten said he’d be a test for next week although he wasn’t sure if he needed scans. He said: “He’s just got a bit of an ankle which is with that calf as well.

“We’ve just got to look after him. It was a risk to put him back out there and we’re not taking any risks with players trying to get up for next week, and he might not even get up for next week. So we’ve just got to work through what it’s going to look like for Dan post this game, so he’ll be a test all the way to the last day.”

Western Bulldogs v Fremantle

The Dogs didn’t use their medi sub, while Matt Taberner (AF $434k SC $284k FWD) was subbed out with a calf injury.

GWS Giants v Essendon

James Peatling (AF $403k SC $230k DEF) was subbed out due to a concussion, while Stephen Coniglio (AF $865k SC $553k M/F) had his ankle re-strapped in the second term but played on.

Tim Taranto (AF $769k SC $473k M/F) missed the game due to delayed onset concussion from last round’s loss to Sydney and will miss Round 22 too. GWS caretaker coach Mark McVeigh said: “He’s diagnosed with concussion today. It was delayed… He’ll miss next week… He was tackled in the game last week but the delayed concussion came on late in the week.”

Hawthorn v Gold Coast

Neither side used their sub. Hawks coach Sam Mitchell said debutant Jai Serong (AF $190k SC $117k M/F) “didn’t look out of place at all”.

Melbourne v Collingwood

Nick Daicos (AF $766k SC $557k D/M) copped a knock to the ribs but played on. Pies coach Craig McRae said: “Nick just got an elbow in the rib but he was fine to finish the game.”

Will Hoskin-Elliott (AF $503k SC $325k M/F) was subbed out in the third term with a hip flexor/back issue. Brayden Maynard (AF $605k SC $462k DEF) had an ankle issue but played on.

Melbourne didn’t use their sub.
