Tim English appears set to finally returned after not playing since Round 5, while Patrick Dangerfield will spend a few weeks on the sidelines and Sam Skinner looms as the ideal loop option this round.
UPDATES
Tim English (AF $837k SC $572k R/F) is in line to finally return for the Western Bulldogs after missing a run of games due to a hamstring injury followed by illness.
Western Bulldogs Head of Sports Medicine Chris Bell: “Taylor (Duryea) and Tim were able to complete a game like training session on the weekend. Both players are back to full energy and knocking down the door to be considered this week. If both get through training this week like I expect, both will return to availability.”

Cody Weightman (AF $421k SC $305k FWD) will come into contention after a collarbone issue which may impact the selection of Buku Khamis (AF $251k SC $147k DEF).
Bell said: “Cody has progressed faster than expected… Still needs to tick some boxes before we decide if he returns to availability this weekend.”
Patrick Dangerfield (AF $619k $ SC 435k MID) will miss a few games after being subbed out with a calf issue. Geelong Head of medical services Harry Taylor said: “It’s likely that a couple weeks of training would better serve Pat and provide the conditioning base required for the remainder of the season.”
Popular pre-season pick Sam Skinner (AF $208k SC $123k D/F) will be unavailable for Port Adelaide this round. The Port update said: “Has been placed under the AFL’s concussion protocols following a knock to the head in Sunday’s SANFL win over West Adelaide. The mandatory 12-day concussion recovery protocol means he will be unavailable this weekend.” Port play last in Round 11.
Ed Langdon (AF $702k SC $441k MID) was subbed out of Melbourne’s game with a rib issue but could play this week. The Dees update said: “Has since been cleared of any internal damage to his lungs and will hope to put his hand up for selection later in the week.”
Hugh McCluggage (AF $815k SC $573k MID) was also subbed out by Brisbane but could play this week. Lions General Manager of Football Danny Daly said: “Hugh’s just experiencing some hamstring awareness and will be a test to play this weekend.”
