Richardson ruled out for Gades R13 DGW, Maddinson out with hamstring, Kann in Canes squad
There was carnage ahead of Tuesday’s Melbourne Renegades-Hobart Hurricanes game with Kane Richardson and Nic Maddinson surprisingly ruled out while popular loop option Josh Kann returns.
The Melbourne Renegades named their 13-man squad to play the Hobart Hurricanes at Marvel Stadium on Tuesday night (7:15pm AEDT) with some shock absentees.
Well-owned Kane Richardson ($186k BWL) was left out for personal reasons, while Nic Maddinson ($138k BAT) was absent too.
The Gades update said: “Maddinson has also been ruled out, with a hamstring injury. With finals now out of the equation for the Renegades, Kane Richardson has returned home for family reasons.”
Mackenzie Harvey ($76k BAT) and Jake Fraser-McGurk ($73k BAT) are also out after testing positive to COVID-19.
The Renegades update said: “Harvey and Fraser-McGurk have returned positive COVID-19 tests, are isolating from the group and will miss the Renegades’ final two games.”
Unmukt Chand, Zac Evans, Mitch Perry and James Seymour have come into the Gades squad.
There was less carnage from the Hurricanes who added Josh Kann ($42k BAT/BWL) to their 16-man squad, with no sign of Joel Paris or Nathan Ellis who are close to returning from injury.
