T20 World Cup

Mitch Marsh ($132k BAT/BWL) starred in the T20 World Cup final with 77* from 50 balls equating to 108 SC BBL points, while Adam Zampa ($169k BWL) continued his high standards with 1-22 in the semi-final followed by 1-26 in the final, meaning he finished with a team-high World Cup SC BBL points average of 63.00.

Scorchers bat Cameron Bancroft ($92k BAT/WKP) posted 124* from 105 balls on Monday for WA against Queensland, while gun finisher Ashton Turner ($84k BAT) added 71* from 41 deliveries.

Sheffield Shield

Jhye Richardson ($201k BWL) claimed eight wickets for the game as WA defeated Queensland, shaking off any injury doubts and pressing his case for Australia selection. Popular Round 1 selection Josh Philippe ($177k WKP/BAT) scored a century for WA too.

Joel Paris ($62k BWL) and Michael Neser ($127k BAT/BWL) suffered hamstring injuries in that game, while Shaun Marsh ($106k BAT) injured his calf.

Toyota Second XI

Renegades youngster Jake Fraser-McGurk ($65k BAT) scored a century for the Victorian 2nd XI against NSW on Monday.

Heat bat Sam Heazlett ($97k BAT) and free agent Jake Lehmann (101 and 68*) scored centuries in the SA v Queensland Second XI game last week.

State cricket

Heat quick Xavier Bartlett ($97k BWL) returned to bowling after a back injury meant he had played all season as a batsman-only. Unsigned ex-Sixers bat Justin Avendano blasted 171 in NSW Premier Cricket, while Heat bat Tom Cooper ($62k BAT) made a century in SA.

There was also a T20 round in NSW on Sunday, with Dan Christian ($184k BAT/BWL) scoring a quickfire 40 and taking three wickets.
