Mujeeb Ur Rahman ($208k BWL) returned from injury to play in Afghanistan’s final Super 12 game, managing 1-31 against New Zealand.
Mitch Marsh ($132k BAT/BWL) and Adam Zampa ($169k BWL) have starred for the Aussies in games against the West Indies and Bangladesh on Saturday and Thursday respectively. Marcus Stoinis ($163k BAT/BWL) has registered SC BBL scores of zero three games in a row, with a weakened role batting in the middle order and not bowling.

Victoria hosted NSW this week at the MCG, with Renegades recruit Nic Maddinson ($115k BAT) making a century to boost his Australia A chances. Cheap Sixers bat Daniel Hughes ($78k BAT) made scores of 59 and 89*for the match. Another cheapie, Strikers bat, Matt Short ($62k BAT) blasted 90, while Scott Boland ($144k BWL) boosted his Australia A chances with eight wickets for the match, including a second innings 5fa.
State cricket
In WA, unsigned Sam Whiteman made an impressive century, while Scorchers bat Cameron Bancroft ($92k BAT/WKP) scored his third Premier Cricket hundred in a row. Perth fast bowler Andrew Tye took a 6fa.
In SA, Heat batsman Tom Cooper ($62k BAT) came close to a century, while Strikers opener Jake Weatherald ($133k BAT) made some quick second innings runs.
In Queensland, Max Bryant – still unsigned by the Heat – blasted 157 from 103 balls and Xavier Bartlett ($97k BWL) made runs but is still yet to return to bowling after injury. NSW Premier Cricket resumed with Thunder cheapie Ollie Davies ($74k BAT) out for 16 caught at cover.
