Queensland 50-over Premier Cricket

Heat vice-captain Jimmy Peirson smashed a quickfire century while opening for Redlands, continuing his bright form. James Bazley was good with the ball as he aims for a Heat contract.

Heat all-rounder Jack Wildermuth crunched a hundred for Valley, including nine fours and three sixes, plus he took a key wicket. Sixers all-rounder Hayden Kerr smashed a century with 12 fours and three sixes and took three wickets for Gold Coast, while Joe Burns got a second ball duck and isn’t in good touch for Northern Suburbs.

Stars BBL|10 import Nicholas Pooran found some big-hitting form, including seven sixes, in a game-winning knock of 75* for the Guyana Amazon Warriors. Renegades’ BBL10 recruit Imad Wasim has been producing some handy cameos with both bat and ball for the Jamaica Tallawahs.

Imran Tahir, who signed with the Renegades prior to BBL|10 but pulled out late, took 2-0 with two maidens from his only two overs on Sunday too. Hurricanes number six Tim David is perfecting his middle-order role with the Saint Lucia Kings.
