Waiting in the wings: Port’s Williams kicks four, Crows candidates, Kemp flag

With no VFL action this weekend and a bye for the West Coast Eagles there was minimal action in the state leagues. In the SANFL showdown, youngsters Dylan Williams and Lachlan Gollant kicked eight goals between them, pushing their case for selection in their respective teams.
Adelaide
Adelaide will be forced into two changes this round with Will Hamill and Brodie Smith suffering concussions, so there’s a few candidates in the mix. Lachlan Gollant (AF $170k SC $123k D/M) had an impressive performance, kicking four goals and collecting 13 disposals.
James Rowe (AF $385k SC $275k FWD) had 25 disposals and two goals to put his hand up for selection, while Luke Pedlar (AF $256k SC $162k MID) didn’t finish the game after suffering an ankle injury. Ronin O’Connor (AF $193k SC $123k MID) finished with 19 disposals and 11 tackles.
Port Adelaide
Dylan Williams (AF $176k SC $123k M/F) was named amongst the best afield after kicking four goals and collecting 17 disposals.
Martin Frederick (AF $209k SC $165k DEF) finished with 20 disposals and six tackles. Ollie Lord (AF $174k SC $117k FWD) was lively with 11 disposals and a goal.
Fremantle
The bulk of the Dockers squad are in quarantine so no chance for Nathan O’Driscoll (AF $218k SC $117k MID) to press his case for an AFL debut via the WAFL.
West Coast
The Eagles had the bye in the WAFL.
Carlton
Mitch McGovern (AF $410k SC $284k FWD) kicked six goals in a VFL scratch match and could replace the injured Harry McKay, while Brodie Kemp (AF $170k SC $123k MID) looms as a possible debutant.
Collingwood
Josh Daicos (AF $533k SC $335k M/F) returned from injury in a VFL scratch match on Saturday too and seems available to return.
