Dunkley available, Jiath season over, ‘managed’ Poulter in mix, Langford lay-off confirmed

Josh Dunkley is set to return this round, Adam Treloar and Matt Crouch are not far off, Caleb Poulter is in the mix after being “managed” and Changkuoth Jiath and Hugh Greenwood’s seasons are over.

Hawthorn have confirmed it is season over for Changkuoth Jiath (AF $502k SC $406k DEF) due to the knee injury sustained on the weekend.

Hawks Physical Performance Manager Luke Boyd said: “Unfortunately CJ has sustained a PCL injury to that knee.

“Generally with a PCL injury, we don’t get much change in six-to-eight weeks, even for the lower grade ones so that will mean he will not be available to play for the remainder of the season. On a positive note, we don’t anticipate this being a long-term issue for CJ and we think he will recover quite well from the injury.”

Josh Dunkley (AF $823k SC $634k M/F) is set for an imminent return this round after his long lay-off with a shoulder injury.

Western Bulldogs head of sports medicine Chris Bell said: β€œHe has been back into full training for the last couple of weeks & hasn’t missed a beat. He will be looking to put his hand up for selection this weekend.”
