Jackson out to boost Gawn’s captaincy claims, Waterman & Cerra in mix
Melbourne have announced young ruckman Luke Jackson will miss a short period with a finger injury potentially impacted Max Gawn’s role positively while Alec Waterman and Adam Cerra are fit and in the mix to play.
Luke Jackson (AF $482k SC $405k FWD) will spend a short time on the sidelines with a finger injury. Melbourne’s GM Footy Performance Manager Alan Richardson said: “We expect he will only miss 1-2 games of footy.”
This may impact the role of Max Gawn (AF $818k SC $678k RUCK). Gawn attended just 53% of centre bounces two weeks ago against North Melbourne, however that increased into the 80% range last week.
